Report An Invasive Species Observation

While prevention is the most effective way to limit the spread of invasive species, often times an invasive species is already present within a landscape. Mapping of an invasive species is the first step towards its control or eradication. You can submit an observation using EDDMapS Ontario (Early Detection and Distribution Mapping System Ontario) by clicking on the Report An Observation button below.

EDDMapS Ontario is a digital tool to report and track invasive species across the province. This system offers a fast and simple way to map invasive species without any technical or GIS experience. All information submitted is reviewed by qualified staff to ensure it is accurate. Once verified, the information is made freely available to scientists, researchers, land managers, land owners, government personnel and more.
